OMG! This film made absolutely no sense to me at all. It was slow and very hard to follow. Half the time, I had to really focus heard to understand what was it that the makers are even trying to say. The film too forever to come to the point.
A Manhattan-based filmmaker returns to Hong Kong for the purpose of documenting the opening of a new Disney theme park in Hong Kong, but instead finds himself mining his own displacement as a queer expatriate. In the process he meets a deceptively controlled gay dancer and an isolated shop girl who are drawn to his questioning nostalgia for a country that may never have been. Eventually, the trio goes on an expedition to Macau to find out whether the filmmaker's father helped launder Nazi gold during World War II.
There are so many issues being covered in the film, without making them explicit that I am not even sure which one WAS the main plot. There are lots of freeze frame and slow motion and random bath house visits. Had the film only focused on the two gay men, it still had some potential for viewers but throwing in a curveball without proper handling of the story of the girl, takes this film Deep South and nosedive. I will not be recommending this film to anyone. Please let me know in the comments if you have seen the film and am I missing out something here? (1/10)

I searched for your review of addicted, the chinese BL drama from 2016 and was very surprised not to find it.
If you haven't watched yet, add that on your list. You know how picky I can be, this one is awesome.
you recommend watching it?
Can be watched on yt, just search for an uncut version to enjoy more.
I am sure you will like it a lot, like 8.5 at least
Favorites are like husbands, they are not perfect but you'd chose them over any other man on Earth.
Addicted is perfect. Original script, beautiful location, great directing, top-notch acting, minor flaws and maybe one disturbing scene, you'll know when you get to watch it. The closest BL it can be compared to is no other than I told sunset about you, with more straightforward characters though.
Actually, it is just genuinely good.
I really look forward to reading your review for this one.
I also realized from you all's list that I also haven't seen 'Love By chance'; so I need to see that as well
