This Thai BL is set in the 1960s, and while it's a love story at its heart, it feels a lot more pure and honest than most. It really captures that difficult, long battle of fighting to love who you want and giving your heart to the person you actually choose. It shows how winning that fight usually means getting hurt along the way. The show is a real slow-burn romance that mixes trust and betrayal with some pretty intense emotional moments. When you add in the sneaky relatives, the political backstabbing, and a suspiciously high number of evil adults, the show becomes a pretty long watch. It's 12 episodes that are about an hour each, and the very last one runs for almost two hours. The story takes place in the 60s when the political regime is changing, and a military leader wants to take all the property away from the kings and princely families. Since he doesn't have another choice, the king sends his son, Prince Saenkaew, to Bangkok to stay at the home of one of his close...
OK. This is like the lowest of lows when the shows can go. Surely, I have seen a few Filipino shows where the direction and execution was so poor but at least the story still made sense. But with this show, if anyone can tell me what was the plot of this and what really as happening, I would be really really glad. Because, u know what I really tried to keep my attention on this one hoping. That with every next episode, it will slowly make sense, but I was so wrong. And intakes 12 episodes of about 16-18 minutes each to constantly remind you that this series will not make sense how much ever you try.
Right in the first episode, way too many characters are thrown at us. Almost 10-12 and we are not sure whom do we need to focus on, because even though they are being introduced, there is really nothing substantial happening. Who are they, who do they like, what is their relationship with one another? I wish they had focused on just 2 characters and made it shorter instead of having so many characters/relationships. It's just too hard to keep up even if you wanna try and hope that it will make sense, because it just doesn't. There are a few BL scenes, a couple of kisses; it's just awful really. One minute they are crying, then kissing then shouting and then running away. Wtf!! A story with plot threads that appear from nowhere then vanish just as suddenly and it feels like entire plot lines were cut n pasted during filming.
Avoid at all costs. This probably wasn't even really a BL show, but at this point I am just not sure aof anything at all wrt this show. (0/10)
