I would say that this story started off well (Although I did see something very similar, about. Aman traveling back in time), but very soon it becomes cliched high school love story, that has every BL trope that we have been seeing for all these years. We are supposed to disbelief any logic to any of stuff happening, which even if you do, still presents a very mundane, boring an unoriginal overall storytelling. 10 episodes of about 45-50 minutes each.
Win, is a young school student, attempts to start up a band composed of high school students. He develops a crush on the guitar player Nut. But unknown to both the band members and Nut’s parents, he has a brain tumor. He somehow convinces doctor to not tell anyone and promises the doctor that he will immediately after the band’s competition. Nut always wanted to win a band competition. During their musical performance, Nut faints and is rushed to the hospital where it becomes obvious to everyone that Nut is dying. Shortly afterward, he passes away with Win deeply regretting his hesitancy when he was alive in not expressing to Nut how much he liked him. And of course, Nut never expresses if he felt anything for Win. Circa 20 years later, Win now has mundane job and is visiting Nut's grave and meets Lin, supposed girlfriend of Nut, at his gravesite where they reminisce about old days. Win gets into an accident and finds himself back in time when he was trying to create a band. This gives Win an opportunity to save Nit. He creates a band, and tries to slowly won over Nut. Lin arrives in the scene and their parents expect Nit and Lin to be together but things don't get workout. Win makes sure that Nut take care of his health. We have not the gray couple Ek and Chai, who are part of the band and a good 40% of the time is spent in the love story as well. Ek is from a rich family with understanding parents and supportive of his musical dreams unlike Nut's parents. Chai is a poor man. Anyway, back to the main couple, of course Win does everything to make sure the band is made, he stays close to Nut, confesses his love, they become a couple, time health checks for Nut and eventually they win a competition.
Th lead couple had absolutely no chemistry in the show. Honestly, the other couple's story was lot more interesting, their relationship seemed a bit more poetic in its development and honestly a lot more believable as it was demonstrated better. Chai is a very handsome and thoughtful young man who takes Ek , the drummer, under his wing. Eck is a very shy, sheltered young man who is exceptionally wooden, awkward, and timid around others. On the other hand, I did not feel anything towards the main couple or the quasi lesbian couple. We have seen versions of this scenario where someone somehow goes back in time to fix things, but this was just boring. I would have expected Win to do things to sweet Nut under his feet but even from a love story perspective, it is very timid. Honestly, my fav character was Win's father. Finally a character, who plays age, and in understanding of his kids, supportive and just a gentle soul in general. I liked all scenes where he was in. InN contrast, Nut’s father was simply irrational in his approach to his son with no apparent reasoning behind his negative actions. Why these kinds of series continue to be made is beyond any level of understanding. Relationships do not materialize until the end and are prepubescent in nature with not an ounce of sexual tension or intensity about them. Please just stop and develop stories that have a sense of relatability to them. (3/10)
