Unlike the other time travel shows, this series is different because it takes our protagonist back in time to fix things/events that could change his future after he dies. Its a BL so romance and drama are abundant and the main storyline is mostly towards the beginning and end, while mid is filled with growth of love and some problems arising here and there to keep the drama going. The show is 10 episodes, each almost an hour long, give or take.
Successful superstar Armin has just won major award is having a party, He finds out his longtime partner is cheating on him, gets into a fight with the rival, and dies during to the scuffle. But he is actually poisoned. Surprisingly Armin wakes up in the past, when he was still a single struggling nobody in his early 20s. In this confusion, he is about to be run over, when he is suddenly saved by mysterious handsome Tada, a secret fan of his form previous life, whom Armin never met and knew him only as TD. Armin is now suspicious of everyone and doesn't know what he's led to this, but he is also surprised how and why Tada suddenly shows up whenever he is in trouble or needs help. At first, Armin’s sole focus is to ensure he doesn’t repeat the mistakes that will lead to his doom in the future (this includes staying away from certain actors, or his agent). But as he spends ,pre time with Tada, he realizes that he may have a second chance at love with a different albeit right guy. Tada is a rich millionaire, who does everything in his power to make Armin successful and in the process the duo fall in love and at some point, Armin does tell him the truth about his previous life and Tada tells him about TD. But there is a villain, who happens to be Tada's step brother and he does everything in his power to make sure Armin is not successful as a revenge against Tada. Nore drama follows, the lovers want to be together but the villain takes one last attempt at killing Tada/Armin. They are saved and th love story comes to a good finale.
Thada is the ‘over the top’ romantic hero, constantly making grand gestures to woo Armin. Armin doesn’t seem to mind the attention at all, it makes their romance click. Their relationship growth is cheesy cute, sweet, and steamy. Although Armin’s rising fame, increased media scrutiny, and rivals intent on bringing Armin down, complicate their love story. As expected, Armin continues to face hurdles in his fresh start and many different people keep coming from his past (his agent, a couple of rising stars, a friend) and Armin tries to do something different from before. What I liked was that in the last episode, they show a little bot from Tada's perspective as well. We are told that when Armin died, TD went into depression and cries wanting to make things right for Armin, so when back in past Tada sees Armin, he decides to not remain in shadow and instead go all out to woo him and support him in his career (which was nice I guess). Tada and Armin had great chemistry and the two looked very good together, but equally bad and comical was that villain especially in the whole last sequence. Yes the show is predictable most times and it had too many characters at one point. The pacing felt a bit sluggish at times, and I wasn’t fully engaged with the storytelling throughout. This could have been tighter and more impactful as an 8-episode series. While there were twists and turns, most of them were quite predictable. But at least it was still bit different from the usual fluff. The series wont leave you with long term memory , but if you can ignore bit of drama in between, it is still decent watch overall. (6/10)
