I honestly think this might be the first time I’ve actually enjoyed a proper horror BL. I’ve checked out a few others in the past, but they usually felt a bit unpolished or amateurish—I can’t even remember their names, to be honest. This one is definitely a slow-burn rather than a fast-paced romance, tucked away inside a world of supernatural mysteries and fantastic secrets. You can tell the production is high-quality and well-researched; it feels like the creators really pushed themselves to give the audience something fresh. If you’re into BLs mixed with suspense and ghost stories, this is right up your alley. Just a heads-up: it’s a massive time investment. There are 12 episodes, each over 75 minutes, and the finale is basically a two-hour movie. The story follows Khem, a young guy in his twenties whose life is getting harder by the second because of a heavy family curse that lets him see ghosts. There’s this terrifying rule in his family where the boys don’t live past age 20, so hi...
This film is so confusing with its constant moving timelines. The film so often and so much , sox months apart, that attires to gets too hard to keep a track of what's being shown and what not. Touted to be a gay adaption of Pride andPrejudice, this film is lost in translation where even the actors don't seem to be interested at all in what's going on.
Lee is a welder working in a factory who has ben accused of assaulting his girlfriend, thanks to false accusation of a neighbor. Th case is now closed in present times and he is doing community service. Through his closest friend Chuck, he meets Ben, an affluent lawyer at a party. Chuck soon falls for Jane, who is Ben's close friend and they are all going for hiking. Ben soon remembers that he had seen Lee at his hearing in his court case. Ben is dating George, who happened to be Lee's lawyer. Soon through a series of events, Ben finds himself getting attracted to Lee and he also finds out that George has been lying to him an dis happily married with a family. Taking upon himself to investigate Lee's case further, and helps Lee get charges dropped on him. Ben confesses his feelings for Lee, who also has been going through a childhood trauma of his father leaving him for another man. But soon Lee will have to face his own feelings for Ben.
The ending where Lee suddenly feels love for Ben is random. Yes, we see traces where the two men bond over hiking and zest for life, there is never any solid reason to show the two men falling for each other. Yes, the two begin to form a sort of ‘opposites attract’ chemistry but everything happens too fast. The conflict of Chuck and Jane falling in love, then breaking up and then again coming back together was as random and the leading men's chemistry. I bet the film was made on a super low budget. The only decent thing about the film was good looking Lee and his acting. Rest everyone was just meh at best. Its a scrappy film, that bit more than it can chew in its aspirations. This film has weak plot, bad screenplay, average acting and a very choppy edit. The intentions are ok but the flaws are too many to overlook. (3.5/10)
