I am all about independent film making and makers getting a chance to showcase their talent, but how I wish that a considerable time was spent on screenplay and making the film a tad bit believable. Please stop taking audience for granted. The story is interesting but the climax reveal doesn't old up to the story that gets created till that point.
One night David is stabbed and the police finds his boyfriend Leon next to him wit his ands in blood stains and knife on him. While David is taken to the hospital, the police arrests Leon on suspicion of being the murderer. Homophobia is clearly evident in the police custody till a mysterious policeman Darrieu takes over the case. This is when the story goes into flashback of how Leon and David met. They go through their ups and downs where Leon is a bit insecure about his looks. Also when they bot meet David's family, his father doesn't take things lightly. Darrieu believes that Leon is innocent but then what happened? Luckily, David regains consciousness and informs the police how he was assaulted by two strangers on street on night for being gay and they were the 2 guys who came to is home that night and stabbed.
David and Leon's back story has noting to do with the case and as viewers I was not interested at all. Tat was also because of the fact, that they duo shared absolutely bland chemistry. Clearly they were 2 actors thrown together to perform. Yes, we are sown that homophobia and prejudices exist in society and even within family. People are ready to dismiss gay relationships even in today's day and age. We are never told what's Darrieu's back story is. The police and the whole surroundings seemed so fake tat at no point I believed either of the actors or the characters they were playing. There were so many random scenes of the couple with their friends that added absolutely noting to the story. And wen the secret is revealed, I was just like meh! It feels like the film was shot was absolutely no budget (which is fine) because you can cover tat up in many other ways.
Bad acting, bad direction, no chemistry and a colossal waste of time. I would not recommend this at all. (2/10)
