'Gayliens' is a 4 episode anthology series from HereTV ranging from sci-fi to comedy, where each episode details an encounter between gay men and extra-terrestrials. I have to say that the concept sounded quite interesting, and of course, you have to keep your expectations extremely low, so form that perspective it was an interetsing mix.
EP 1 - Love and the Mothman
Two neighborhood boys (both likely in closet) decide to go on a drive to get away from family. The black guy makes sure to tell th other boy all about his girl crushes but eventually when dark falls, they both start having banger sex in the car till they are eventually terrorized by the legendary Mothman.
EP 2 - Lapdance from Outer Space
Ace, a space-themed stripper in a gay nightclub, agrees to give an odd man a private Lapdance, but is surprised when the patron reveals that he is an alien...and Earth is about to be invaded. This was actually quite funny with the kind of dialogues that were being exchanged. Comedy as in the silly style.
EP 3 - No Exit, Stage Left
A gay couple hides in an abandoned theater during an alien invasion and build a private world for themselves. They still perform and direct for each other hoping that they are one of the few who would eventually make it, till finally the aliens catch up on them too.
EP 4 - Duck Duck Alien
Four gay men awake in a dark room, handcuffed to chairs. While they try to figure out how they got there, their kidnapper reveals his plot: one of them is an evil alien and must be exterminated.
Overall, it was strictly an alright mix to the anthology episodes that you see. The good thing is that epodes are barely 20-25 minutes long, so they end quick and two of the 4 shorts have a nice sex scene too to fulfill any of your voyeur fantasies. The boys are all good looking, as you would expect. None of these stories are supposed to make you think and do some sort of analysis (which I tried doing during first episode). Just don't overthink anything and you will not be disappointed. (4.5/10)
