Grey is a flamboyant and charming young man. He is helping out his lifelong best friend, Jonas on a stage play where Jonas is playing the lead. Jonas is a heartthrob with masculine appeal. While Jonas effortlessly navigates the gay dating scene, Gray struggles to find love, convinced that his effeminate style is an obstacle. But despite countless rejections, Gray remains hopeful. The duo used to have another friend Yates who has just returned from US. Yates used to be Grey's first big time crush. Grey's heart races at the chance to rekindle his old love, but his plans are derailed when Yates unexpectedly confesses his feelings for Jonas. By enlisting Gray's help to win Jonas's heart, Yates puts Gray in a love triangle he never saw coming. As the plot unfolds, Gray is faced with a crucial decision: support Yates in her conquest of Jonas or take the opportunity to rekindle her own love story and prove that love knows no stereotypes. In an interesting twist that we all probably saw coming, we find that Jonas has always loved Grey and Yates entering the scene just confirms his feelings and he jumps into action before it is too late.
From a concept perspective, the film offers more of a distraction and entertainment rather than any profound message. The three declared homosexual boys who are not sure of anything or are too silent or declare their love so superficially that they do not move anyone, is a reflection of some part of society , I am sure of that. The makers could have gone the route of making this a dramatic film, but they stuck with rom-com style which worked for me. But yes, something was still missing. I guess the fact that all three characters just keep jumping from one to another person with no respect for feelings or thought or love, that it sometimes becomes laughable. Maybe more mature and credible characters would have helped. The protagonist's objective seems to change with each scene; and suddenly, everything happens in the last four, maybe two minutes, leaving only dissatisfaction. The actors were pretty to look at and the film will go as yet another gay rom-com with not much to be remembered for long. This is a shame especially since it came from the makers of Gameboys:The Movie. Well, we can all still stay hopeful. (5/10)
