The Gay Deceivers

This screwball comedy from 1969 has a pretty wild premise: two guys try to fake being gay just to dodge the military draft. If you watched this today, it would probably come across as super offensive, and I honestly have no clue how people felt about it back when it first hit theaters. My guess is it probably wasn't a huge hit. The humor is really broad and kind of goofy, with a lot of obvious puns that actually reminded me of those cheesy sitcoms from the 80s and 90s. It makes me wonder if this movie actually inspired some of those later shows. The story follows two best friends, Danny and Elliot, who are desperate to get out of the draft. They decide the best way out is to pretend they're in a relationship, but the Army doesn't just take their word for it and puts them under surveillance. Depravity (Mandarin) [Break]

Just when I thought I have seen all kinds of weird films, here comes this one. I saw this film (thankfully just an hour long) and I really have no idea what I just saw. The plot was confusing as hell. Constant jumps between current. Time, past time and the film shoot made it even more confusing and the fact that the actors look so similar to one another was not helping at all.

Fang and Lin were sort of dating in college but things didn't go down well for them. Fang is now a film director and somehow manages to get Lin to act in his period film about two secret male lovers. Lin is now seeing another guy Hesen, who is also been signed as the other lead of the film. Fang records all Lin and Hesen activity including when they are making love. When Hesen finds out about this, he tries to kill Fang but Lin saves him and dies in the process.

I am really not sure if this was in fact the story line of the film or not, but this is as best as I can summarize. Even the title of the film makes absolute no sense to me. Also not sure why the two names for the same film. The official synopsis of the film that I have read everywhere means absolutely nothing to this film.This film is really bad. The screenplay is done so poorly that you just don't know what you are seeing. At least most times you know what's going on and then you say you didn't like it. But this was a completely different ballgame. This movie is totally avoidable, unless you think your and make sense of what the film is trying to say and show. Why do I keep wasting my time? People please give me good recommendations. (1/10)

Not just editing, this film was probably flawed right at the scripting stage. What a mess !!!

Apparently tis film was adapted by a true story Well, true or not, movies/series about drugs are not easy to watch. I have always said that drugs is like the end of life for anyone. Every person has their own unique way of dealing with loss. This film is as much a psychological thriller as it is a soft porn BDSM portrayal of two young men that makes the film overall horrifying as well as humane. It is really hard to describe the genre of this film in one word. Its important not that the film has some really disturbing scenes so if you go into seeing this film, please proceed with caution. Although any sexual non-consensual activity is not ok, this film has its won strange way of showing that suicide is not the only solution to all life's problems. Makoto is a regular office goer, who just finds out that his girlfriend is probably cheating on him. The Shortest Distance is Round 3: Fallen Flowers

Continuing with the weird trilogy of "The Shortest Distance", I am so glad that finally I am done with part 3 and won't have to deal with this again in future. Thankfully, as of now the makers have not announced any further parts; which will save all of us on this earth from the embarrassment of watching this in near future. After the first 10 minutes are used in sort of recapping bits of first two parts, the story moves forward. Haruto is now starting to have feelings for Ruka, the mysterious pole dancer from second part. In a fit of rage, Ruka ends up killing the goat man and to save him and Haruto, Shibahara asks them to go underground.
