I'm The Most Beautiful Count (Thai Series)

I had so much fun watching this series and it has happened after a long time in the Thai BL landscape. The stories are all starting to merge into one another, especially the university love ones. Of late a lot of makers are making some sort of historical dramas. But this was different. Making the lead actor identify himself as a trans, this show is the right mix of drama, laughter, emotions and politics. I will talk in details but the lead actor of this show is an absolute hoot in this show and if not for his enjoyable and addictive OTT acting, this show would have fallen flat. The series has 13 episodes of about 45-50 minutes each. We meet Prince, an out and about flamboyant pop singer who has as many fans as he does haters. We see both the adoration and the vilification he faces for openly embracing his queerness. Tofu (UK) (TV Series)

You must have read my reviews of British shows ‘Cucumber’ & ‘Banana’. I finally managed to see the companion show to complete the trio. It is a documentary series that focuses on a range of sex attitudes in the twenty-first century from the viewpoint of everyday people.The show basically takes some of the characters from the 2 shows but mainly focuses on the real life sexuality with a fictional minisode also thrown into the mix. Every episode lasts about 12 minutes with a topic chosen and then getting views form each of the people being interviewed.

The eight episodes focus on the following topics:
- Good Sex, Bad Sex
- Sex Talk
- Not Having Sex (Asexuality)
- Coming Out
- Teenage Lust
- Queer as Folk
- Instasex
- Filthy, Dirty Sex

Every episode brought in a very different mindset. I liked the fact that a wide variety of people were talked to so that we get to experience a wide spectrum and their viewpoints, there, strengthening the belief that now two people are same and that we all like things the way we do.  I love the approach of discussions - no demonising but an honest appraisal of the pros and cons. And the other thing that was also good was that they took a wide mix of characters: right fro a mid-60s old woman, to an asexual person, 2 porn stars, lesbians both young and old, a straight guy who pays for prostitutes and of course a few main actors from the 2 parent shows. I wish I had seen this right after I watched the shows but hey! its never too late.

Not as interesting as the parent shows, but this one specifically was just supposed to be as a discussion mode and not preachy. (6/10)

Every person has their own unique way of dealing with loss. This film is as much a psychological thriller as it is a soft porn BDSM portrayal of two young men that makes the film overall horrifying as well as humane. Drug Shore (Chinese)

Apparently tis film was adapted by a true story Well, true or not, movies/series about drugs are not easy to watch. I have always said that drugs is like the end of life for anyone. For those who sink into this sea of addiction, some manage to swim upstream to recovery, while others cannot make it to the shore. The film may not be the best, but it does have a noble intention to remind everyone of the evil affects of drugs and combining that with sex. Ah Zhe is in a happy relationship with his influencer boyfriend. On his partner's birthday, they end up going to a party, which interestingly is being hosted at a drug dealer's house and this is where for the first time he is exposed to the world of drugs. The duo somehow do it just enough and come back home but next day Ah She gets invited by the dealer Xiao Fei for a meal. The Shortest Distance is Round 3: Fallen Flowers

Continuing with the weird trilogy of "The Shortest Distance", I am so glad that finally I am done with part 3 and won't have to deal with this again in future. Thankfully, as of now the makers have not announced any further parts; which will save all of us on this earth from the embarrassment of watching this in near future. After the first 10 minutes are used in sort of recapping bits of first two parts, the story moves forward. Haruto is now starting to have feelings for Ruka, the mysterious pole dancer from second part. In a fit of rage, Ruka ends up killing the goat man and to save him and Haruto, Shibahara asks them to go underground. Meanwhile Shibahara continues the search for Seiya (the guy who had cut off Haruto's penis). It turns out Seiya is now also taking care of the original club owner from part 1.
