Tide Of Love (Korean Series)

Most Korean BL shows usually have a decent story to tell, even if they aren't always filmed perfectly. But this one is just cringey. None of the things the characters do make any sense at all. The writing is terrible, the "romance" is actually pretty creepy, and the main guy is a total controlling jerk. A lot of scenes make abuse and power trips look like they're okay, and the show tries to pretend this messy relationship is actually romantic. Instead of being sexy, the intimate scenes feel more like a scary hostage situation. From start to finish, the whole thing just made me feel really uncomfortable. It’s a short series with 10 episodes that are only about 12 minutes each. The plot is about Kim, a broke art student who is desperate for money because his mom needs a surgery he can't afford. Bollywood And Vine

This is such an OTT movie. Just about everyone in this film was loud mouth except the lead played by Delilah Leigh. The film had interesting theme but since it was made on such a low budget, the surroundings etc just did not gel with the film. It gave a very boring look to the entire film. 

Delilah Leigh used to work a lot in C-grade horror films. She used to be known as the scream queen and has not been in any movies for 25 years now. An Indian guy Bhuvan Bannerjee operates a tour bus 'Bannerjee Tours'. He is totally smitten by Delilah and for him she is still that super star. IN hopes of catching a glimpse of her, he daily passes outside her house with tourists. Delilah has a young son Devin who has got the looks of his mother. He is gay and when he wears his mother's clothes he looks exactly like Delilah. When Delilah (aka Devin) finally make an appearance on the porch, Bhuvan immediately falls in love with her and offers her a script to do a film totally oblivious that the real Delilah is now old. But the truth soon comes out when Delilah and Bhuvan kiss and that Delilah is actually Devin. Bhuvan gets mad and leaves. Actual Delilah somehow convinces him to come back home and manages to lock Bhuvan and Devin in the attic together for days. Devin is now totally in love with Bhuvan but Bhuvan is not gay (or so he says). Bhuvan rebels, attempts escape, and the trio become caught up in an accidental death of a snoopy wannabe star neighbor. Finally things are ok. Bhuvan leaves them leaving a love struck Devin behind. A year later he comes back for Delilah's birthday and invites them both for a trip where he proposes to Devin and they both get married. 

How could a straight guy suddenly turn gay and straight away get married to a dude. This was all so unbelievable.The saving grace of the film is that it doesn't take itself seriously. The plot is inane and unbelievable, going from one farcical situation to another without regard for pace, tone or honest character development. Devin was totally intolerable as Delilah. The annoying Delilah's neighbor was fun. Bhuvan was alright although I don't think he was Indian at all. Bollywood and Vine is one address you won't want to visit - just drive by and honk. (4/10)

Apparently tis film was adapted by a true story Well, true or not, movies/series about drugs are not easy to watch. I have always said that drugs is like the end of life for anyone. For those who sink into this sea of addiction, some manage to swim upstream to recovery, while others cannot make it to the shore. The film may not be the best, but it does have a noble intention to remind everyone of the evil affects of drugs and combining that with sex. Every person has their own unique way of dealing with loss. This film is as much a psychological thriller as it is a soft porn BDSM portrayal of two young men that makes the film overall horrifying as well as humane. It is really hard to describe the genre of this film in one word. Its important not that the film has some really disturbing scenes so if you go into seeing this film, please proceed with caution. Although any sexual non-consensual activity is not ok, this film has its won strange way of showing that suicide is not the only solution to all life's problems. Makoto is a regular office goer, who just finds out that his girlfriend is probably cheating on him. ON top of it, his parents sudden death coming back from a trip that he forced them to take, he gets completely dejected and decides to commit suicide. The Shortest Distance is Round 3: Fallen Flowers

Continuing with the weird trilogy of "The Shortest Distance", I am so glad that finally I am done with part 3 and won't have to deal with this again in future. Thankfully, as of now the makers have not announced any further parts; which will save all of us on this earth from the embarrassment of watching this in near future. After the first 10 minutes are used in sort of recapping bits of first two parts, the story moves forward. Haruto is now starting to have feelings for Ruka, the mysterious pole dancer from second part. In a fit of rage, Ruka ends up killing the goat man and to save him and Haruto, Shibahara asks them to go underground. Meanwhile Shibahara continues the search for Seiya (the guy who had cut off Haruto's penis). It turns out Seiya is now also taking care of the original club owner from part 1.
