Revamp: The Undead Story (Thai Series)

I really didn't like this BL series at all. The story was weak, the timing was all over the place, and I just couldn't connect with any of it. Everything about how it was made felt totally mechanical. To be fair, I'll give credit where it's due—the idea behind the show was actually pretty interesting, and I'm sure some people might like it, but it just didn't work for me. The series is 10 episodes long, and each one runs for about 50 minutes. The main story is about two guys named Punn and Ramil. Punn runs a shop where he fixes up old antiques, and he gets hired to restore a painting in a gallery. Without knowing it, his blood actually ends up freeing a vampire named Ramil who has been trapped inside that painting for 100 years. Ramil comes out without his full powers, so he’s hunted and really vulnerable, which means he has to depend on Punn for help. El cielo dividido (Mexico - Spanish) [Broken Sky]

On paper it did sound like a decent idea to have minimal dialogues in a film and focus more on relationships just through scenes and emotions but Gosh! what a failed attempt this one was. We're examining a gay love affair and nothing else. 

Gerardo picks up Jonas in a playing field at the university and the passionate kisses and embraces and the sex begin right away. Then Jonas starts averting his face when Gerardo tries to caress or kiss him. And yet they're still regularly sleeping together. Sergio, a slightly older man, a tall, dark, brooding fellow, even easier on the eyes than the other two enters the scene now. He has already watched the pair play hide and seek in the library stacks when he was installing a light bulb. Jnas takes up liking for Sergio but can't get his attention. Sergio on the other hand has wanted Gerardo for a long time. Gerardo and Jonas are falling apart. Gerardo and Sergio become a couple and then again Jonas begins to long for Gerardo again. 

Like I mentioned the movie is weird because it barely has dialogues. The director has said that the reason there is so little dialogue is that the moments he chose to capture were the ones between the dialogue; before the characters felt the need to speak, and after they had said all there was to say. But I dont agree. This one was a slow opera type movie which is totally not the kind that I like. I would suggest, stay away. (2/10)

Apparently tis film was adapted by a true story Well, true or not, movies/series about drugs are not easy to watch. I have always said that drugs is like the end of life for anyone. Every person has their own unique way of dealing with loss. This film is as much a psychological thriller as it is a soft porn BDSM portrayal of two young men that makes the film overall horrifying as well as humane. It is really hard to describe the genre of this film in one word. Its important not that the film has some really disturbing scenes so if you go into seeing this film, please proceed with caution. Although any sexual non-consensual activity is not ok, this film has its won strange way of showing that suicide is not the only solution to all life's problems. Makoto is a regular office goer, who just finds out that his girlfriend is probably cheating on him. The Shortest Distance is Round 3: Fallen Flowers

Continuing with the weird trilogy of "The Shortest Distance", I am so glad that finally I am done with part 3 and won't have to deal with this again in future. Thankfully, as of now the makers have not announced any further parts; which will save all of us on this earth from the embarrassment of watching this in near future. After the first 10 minutes are used in sort of recapping bits of first two parts, the story moves forward. Haruto is now starting to have feelings for Ruka, the mysterious pole dancer from second part. In a fit of rage, Ruka ends up killing the goat man and to save him and Haruto, Shibahara asks them to go underground.
