Hot Brother Next Door (Vietnamese Series)

This Vietnamese show isn't exactly groundbreaking, but it definitely keeps you hooked. It’s a quick watch with 10 episodes that only last about 15 to 20 minutes each, and even though it uses all the usual BL tropes, it really works because you can't help but root for the underdog. The romance actually takes its time to show up and then wraps up pretty fast, but the characters still feel way more relatable than in a lot of other shows like this. The story follows Phuc, who moves from Hanoi to Saigon to open his dream bar and live with his girlfriend. Things go sideways immediately when he arrives a day early to surprise her and catches her cheating, so he breaks up with her and leaves. He ends up reaching out to his old childhood neighbors, Cong and his sister Han, who he hasn't seen in years. The siblings are struggling on their own with a massive debt and Han’s poor health. This one was just an ordinary movie. What was new and interesting for me the whole southern accent which kept me going through the movie. After a while, the stories got repetitive. The end was very much expected. Ray is a successful businessman who is rich and runs a furniture business. He has always been attracted only to straight men and thats the reason he visits his shrink often to just go through his tribulations. The movie essentially walks us through some of the straight men he has ben with and how and why they left him. First is a drunk straight men who when he realizes what he did in the night just leaves. Second , another guy whom he makes work at his store but who ultimately uses him just for money and luxury an dhis always busy with his girlfriend. Ray soon comes to senses and asks him to leave. Next is another hottie whom he meets outside a store and they are going good until during one filming commercial, they reveal their sexual status and it infuriates him and leaves. Next Ray meets a waiter named Brian. Brian loves what Ray does to him but also loves his girlfriend. After a series of going back and forth between Ray and girlfriend, ray had enough of Brian and he doesn't want to have anything to do with him. ALthough you now that Brian cares for Ray just because he excites him sexually. Finally Ray meets another waiter who eventually turns out to be the man he was looking for. This quirky slice of life comedy, based on actual events, is packed with great characters, sexy men and even a few girls. There's always another man around the next corner, and Ray turns lots of corners. Acting was pretty lame and you can tell they were not seasoned actors or maybe not a seasoned director. And honestly men were not even that good looking. What I failed to understand is the point of lusting for straight men and then getting frustrated if they go to girls. Hello!! thy are straight and men goto girls. A time pass movie. Could be avoided. (3/10)

Apparently tis film was adapted by a true story Well, true or not, movies/series about drugs are not easy to watch. I have always said that drugs is like the end of life for anyone. For those who sink into this sea of addiction, some manage to swim upstream to recovery, while others cannot make it to the shore. The film may not be the best, but it does have a noble intention to remind everyone of the evil affects of drugs and combining that with sex. Ah Zhe is in a happy relationship with his influencer boyfriend. Every person has their own unique way of dealing with loss. This film is as much a psychological thriller as it is a soft porn BDSM portrayal of two young men that makes the film overall horrifying as well as humane. It is really hard to describe the genre of this film in one word. Its important not that the film has some really disturbing scenes so if you go into seeing this film, please proceed with caution. Although any sexual non-consensual activity is not ok, this film has its won strange way of showing that suicide is not the only solution to all life's problems. Makoto is a regular office goer, who just finds out that his girlfriend is probably cheating on him. ON top of it, his parents sudden death coming back from a trip that he forced them to take, he gets completely dejected and decides to commit suicide. The Shortest Distance is Round 3: Fallen Flowers

Continuing with the weird trilogy of "The Shortest Distance", I am so glad that finally I am done with part 3 and won't have to deal with this again in future. Thankfully, as of now the makers have not announced any further parts; which will save all of us on this earth from the embarrassment of watching this in near future. After the first 10 minutes are used in sort of recapping bits of first two parts, the story moves forward. Haruto is now starting to have feelings for Ruka, the mysterious pole dancer from second part. In a fit of rage, Ruka ends up killing the goat man and to save him and Haruto, Shibahara asks them to go underground. Meanwhile Shibahara continues the search for Seiya (the guy who had cut off Haruto's penis). It turns out Seiya is now also taking care of the original club owner from part 1.
