Hot Brother Next Door (Vietnamese Series)

This Vietnamese show isn't exactly groundbreaking, but it definitely keeps you hooked. It’s a quick watch with 10 episodes that only last about 15 to 20 minutes each, and even though it uses all the usual BL tropes, it really works because you can't help but root for the underdog. The romance actually takes its time to show up and then wraps up pretty fast, but the characters still feel way more relatable than in a lot of other shows like this. The story follows Phuc, who moves from Hanoi to Saigon to open his dream bar and live with his girlfriend. Things go sideways immediately when he arrives a day early to surprise her and catches her cheating, so he breaks up with her and leaves. He ends up reaching out to his old childhood neighbors, Cong and his sister Han, who he hasn't seen in years. The siblings are struggling on their own with a massive debt and Han’s poor health. Männer wie wir (German) [Guys and Balls]

Wow!! Now thats what I call a fantastic film. There was not a single second where I was bored in the film. Considering the fact that it was completely non-streotypical gay film, it was a big risk, but man, this is funny as hell. 

Ecky has always been football lover. He is the goalkeeper of his team and proud of his parents in a small town. When he is not paying ,he works with his father in the bakery. When his team-members find out that he is gay they throw him out of the team and made fun of. In a fit of anger, he challenges the team for a match 4 weeks later with gay team. He then moves to the Dortmund with his sister Sussane (who is supportive of him) and subsequently tries to form a full fledged gay football team.His journey through tough-guy town Dortmund is really, really funny! The group includes a trio of leather-clad bikers, a very feminine Turkish deli worker, an extremely masculine lesbian, a closet construction worker and a couple of Brazilian players. It also includes a nurse Sven, who ultimately falls for Ecky. There is also this straight guy who joins the team just so that he can be closer to Ecky's sister Susanne. With certain ups and downs they start practicing, losing hope and self confidence in between to finally coming back together with the help of coach. Finally the match happens. Ecky's parents finally give up and support their son. An exciting match happens which ultimately leads to the winning of gay team. 

The film is so funny. I had a brilliant time. From the very queeny Turk guy whose parents support him every time to the humor that comes with the biker trio and their stereotypical gay life style to the lesbian, everyone is in form. Sven's and Ecky's love story is minimal but effective. It also shows some emotions when one of the biker trip is shown to have a history and a son who after the match is proud of his dad. I loved it. Must watch. Highly recommended (8.5/10)

Apparently tis film was adapted by a true story Well, true or not, movies/series about drugs are not easy to watch. I have always said that drugs is like the end of life for anyone. For those who sink into this sea of addiction, some manage to swim upstream to recovery, while others cannot make it to the shore. The film may not be the best, but it does have a noble intention to remind everyone of the evil affects of drugs and combining that with sex. Ah Zhe is in a happy relationship with his influencer boyfriend. Every person has their own unique way of dealing with loss. This film is as much a psychological thriller as it is a soft porn BDSM portrayal of two young men that makes the film overall horrifying as well as humane. It is really hard to describe the genre of this film in one word. Its important not that the film has some really disturbing scenes so if you go into seeing this film, please proceed with caution. Although any sexual non-consensual activity is not ok, this film has its won strange way of showing that suicide is not the only solution to all life's problems. Makoto is a regular office goer, who just finds out that his girlfriend is probably cheating on him. ON top of it, his parents sudden death coming back from a trip that he forced them to take, he gets completely dejected and decides to commit suicide. The Shortest Distance is Round 3: Fallen Flowers

Continuing with the weird trilogy of "The Shortest Distance", I am so glad that finally I am done with part 3 and won't have to deal with this again in future. Thankfully, as of now the makers have not announced any further parts; which will save all of us on this earth from the embarrassment of watching this in near future. After the first 10 minutes are used in sort of recapping bits of first two parts, the story moves forward. Haruto is now starting to have feelings for Ruka, the mysterious pole dancer from second part. In a fit of rage, Ruka ends up killing the goat man and to save him and Haruto, Shibahara asks them to go underground. Meanwhile Shibahara continues the search for Seiya (the guy who had cut off Haruto's penis). It turns out Seiya is now also taking care of the original club owner from part 1.
