This movie is a pretty wild "what if" story about Abraham Lincoln being gay and having a secret thing with his legal assistant, Elmer Ellsworth. It’s all told through the eyes of Taffeta, who is a Black, plus-sized queer person working behind the scenes. Taffeta uses this old history story to try and make sense of their own life and all the crappy treatment they deal with in the modern gay scene. Honestly, the whole thing feels a lot like a stage play, and it just wasn't as interesting as I hoped it would be. The story follows Taffeta, a stage manager for a small theater putting on a show about Lincoln. Every day is a drag because the audience ignores them and the actors treat them like a maid. Things get really awkward when Taffeta walks in on one of the male leads hooking up with a guy Taffeta had just seen on a dating app. To make it worse, the actor playing Lincoln actually tries to sexually assault Taffeta later on. When you read the synopsis of the movie you feel like this movie would be worth a watch. Dennis is a new inmate. Mike is an older black inmate. Together the two face hostile prison officials and inmates in their attempts to become a loving couple. Sounds interesting; doesn't it? But the overall result is a disappointment.

The movie is dark and comes straight to the point. Dennis come to prison for credit card fraud. The good looking young guy that he is, the prison inmates star harassing him and a group of 4 wanting to get into his pants. But Dennis has his eyes on an American prisoner Mike who are in separate cells on different floors. The story shows how Mike and Dennis try and sneak into enjoying each other's company. How they against odds try and be together. There is whole lot of frontal male nudity and man to man sex. It can be easily termed as a soft porn including a gruesome rape scene in prison. The performances are very ordinary. Overall the movie just did not leave an impact that I was hoping it would.

You can watch this movie if you want to see lots of penis, a really cute guy and some brutal prison scenes. Otherwise there is nothing in the movie. (3.5/10)

Some how an ex BF of mine had a bootlegged burnt copy of this... I wonder now typing this and hearing sirens if they are coming for me or if its just cause I live in the ghetto? I do enjoy men in uniform... This movie to me was pure porn I felt there was no plot or story line.

Every person has their own unique way of dealing with loss. This film is as much a psychological thriller as it is a soft porn BDSM portrayal of two young men that makes the film overall horrifying as well as humane. The Shortest Distance is Round 3: Fallen Flowers

Continuing with the weird trilogy of "The Shortest Distance", I am so glad that finally I am done with part 3 and won't have to deal with this again in future. Thankfully, as of now the makers have not announced any further parts; which will save all of us on this earth from the embarrassment of watching this in near future. After the first 10 minutes are used in sort of recapping bits of first two parts, the story moves forward. Haruto is now starting to have feelings for Ruka, the mysterious pole dancer from second part. In a fit of rage, Ruka ends up killing the goat man and to save him and Haruto, Shibahara asks them to go underground.
