This film must have been something when it came way back in 1986. It definitely seems way ahead of its time. Not just to have a full on gay story but also the dark and gritty direction path it chooses to show the story with. the narrative’s driving force—blind, unembarrassed homosexual lust—is established in a matter of seconds. Walt is a young lower-class shopkeeper who lives a necessarily minimal existence. He longs for Johnny, a young Mexican immigrant who frequents his store often and who in turn repulsed and intrigued by his friendly advances. Johnny and his best friend Roberto always hang around. Walt makes his first pass at Johnny by offering him $15 to sleep with him. He refuses, so settling for second best, Walt takes Roberto home and they have sex. However, he does not give up on trying to win over Johnny. He befriends them and the trio hang out together goofing around. One day Johnny suddenly vanishes and both Walt and Roberto don't know why. Saw this movie few weeks ago and completely forgot to review it here. SO here it goes. Although I have seen the movie a couple of times, it still can be ranked a one of the better movies amongst a whole bunch of crap that is out here. Michael and Robert are a gay couple living in New York. Robert is about to move t Africa for 2 years for work assignment. This is causing a bit of rift between the couple because Michael doesn't want him to go but he has to deal with the reality. One of their closest friends throws n a surprise party for the couple. Quite a good section of the film is spent in introducing the new characters in the arty and how the couple goes about making new friends. In the process Michael also discovers what is the real reason behind Robert taking up the job. We are also introduced to Nick who is Michael's bestest friend and they used to date years ago. What d you write about a film, which you enjoyed, but you are still not sure of what exactly happened and you have to consult internet for that. Is it god or bad? I can't decide. I liked the film but after reading a little bit online about it , it seems hat lo of people have their own interpretations of the film. Bob, a burglar mets a fighting couple Monique and Antoine at a bar where Monique is fighting with Antoine for not giving her a good decent life. Bob has instant liking for Antoine and makes friends with the couple. They start burglary in various rich houses. The couple realizes that Bob fancies Antoine which freaks him out. But by then Monique is so used to money that she doesn't mind her husband to sleep with another man. Ultimately under constant pressure and for Monique, Antoine gives in and sleeps with Bob.
