Nigerian short film that delicately explores the intersection of love, vulnerability, and self-discovery in the most unexpected of places. In the wake of this emotional upheaval, Tobe temporarily moves in with an old friend—what begins as a simple act of comfort soon deepens into something more intimate. Over the course of a single week, the shared space becomes a quiet sanctuary where unspoken feelings surface, and a slow-burning emotional bond blossoms into love. Bad acting but heart is in right place with a restrained portrayal of queer love in a society where such expressions are often silenced.
The film from 1992 follows a group of intergalactic homosexual black men from the planet Anus, who discover the presence of female creatures on planet Earth. Using rayguns, they proceed to eliminate females one by one from Earth, eliciting gratitude from the previously oppressed male population. Before leaving the planet, they leave behind a "Gay Ambassador" to educate the Earthlings about their new way of life. It is badly acted, badly directed, and made with horrible special effects/sets/props, but maybe that was the point and on top of that making the title provocative.
An extremely boring 50 min film. The story follows two pre-adolescent girls visiting their grandmother, with the narrative blending their lives with the grandmother's fantasies of a medieval past, specifically a story about the trial and execution of two gay lovers. Two soldiers who are in love themselves find 2 Moorish priests in the woods and take them to the judge (grandmother in her dreams) and are eventually executed. Grandma die after telling the story and the girls continue with their random stuff. I di don't see any "transformation" happening with the girls.
It is a Romanian short film focusing on small-scale realism to depict the intense emotional struggle of a character dealing with non-heteronormative sexual orientation within a restrictive, small-community setting. It starts with a boy's complaint in the police station about how he has been badly beaten. Its only next day the father tells the cop that its likely because of his sexuality to which cops ask him to withdraw his complaint and maybe have him move to a bigger city, because such things will just become gossip in small towns. The film highlights intimate, private drama behind closed doors, rather than just public conflict.
Caleb and his girlfriend Mia travel across London to visit Caleb’s sister Annie, her partner Jason and their new baby. When they arrive, it becomes clear that this is the first time Caleb’s sister has seen him since his transition, and while she showers him with love and pride, Jason is clearly not comfortable. The film is a poignant and restrained exploration of becoming, of masculinity defined not by dominance or ownership, but by care, endurance, and love that persists even when it isn’t fully welcomed. An intimate and layered look at family, queer love, and black trans identity.
There were Molly Houses, queer underground clubs that operated in London in the 1700s. By day, these houses were regular coffeehouses, but at night, they turned into secret same-sex watering holes that included drag performances, sexual activity and more. In 1723 London, Thomas Neville is discovered cruising in the public toilets and forced to take refuge in a Molly house. There, he encounters a secret community as they prepare for a night of festivities. Interesting and apparently based on a lot of historical facts about existence of such places.
This 30 minute documentary showcases how Brighton transformed into a "safe haven" and one of the UK's largest LGBTQ+ communities. Broadcaster and gay rights activist Simon Fanshawe examines the impact of the Sexual Offences Act 1967 and the fight for equality through the extraordinary story of his hometown of Brighton. It highlights the shift from a culture of fear and defiance in the 1950s/60s to a vibrant, visible community, covering the 1980s AIDS epidemic, the rise of Pride, and the fight for equality. One of the film’s last scenes sees Mr Fanshawe sitting in the building in which he and his husband had their civil partnership. While Mr Fanshawe said that society is still “on a journey” towards gay equality, this image strikes an optimistic note.
Hopeless romantic Alan is having a great first date with vegan heartthrob Blair but when Blair gives him a jar of homemade kimchi, Alan struggles to control his erotic desire and finds himself in Horny Hell fighting to get back. It is silly, stupid, explicit and very different. My favorite dialogue - "He looks like he would destroy your hole, make you laugh your tits off, and then follow it all up with a mean guacamole".
An Afro-Queer drama exploring love, loss, and revenge against the backdrop of anti-LGBTQ+ violence in Lagos, Nigeria. Following the murder of his boyfriend, a British-Nigerian police officer seeks justice, delivering an intense and poignant story. He travels to Nigeria in hope to find the man pretending to be gay on Grindr to lure vulnerable gay men and kill them. The film has raw angry sexual violence of a demented serial killer facing down a righteous and dangerous man hellbent on justice and dignity.
A group of friends plan a trip to Chapada dos Guimarães, but on the agreed day, only Inácio and Robin show up. Despite this, they decide to go together, embarking on an unexpected journey of discovery. Between playful moments in the pool and intimate conversations, the two build an unexpected connection. Amateurish direction and pretty basic story about two friends finding unexpected love with each other.
A psychological sci-fi short film exploring grief, queer love, and the cost of refusing to let go. Max takes a memory-altering pill that allows him to enter his memories to seek closure with his ex-boyfriend. But revisiting the past awakens emotions he never resolved. As he clings to the memory, the drug’s side effects begin to distort his surroundings. Time fractures. Reality crumbles. And he slowly forgets that he is no longer living in the real world. I found it an odd film questioning what it was trying to say.
A young man grapples with the profound stigma associated with living with HIV after contracting the virus from his long-term partner. They break up and the guy tries to move on living while positive and the internal conflicts. He starts seeing a guy but doesn't have the courage or feel the need to be open about his status from beginning. that can create. The film is a starting point for a discussion about being open and compassionate when it comes to HIV and sexual health, portraying the need to remove stigma and also being open with all of your partners ahead of time and having to prepare yourself for their potentially negative reactions.
Growing tired of his boyfriend Derek, not doing the jobs he's promised to do around the house, Walter risks causing friction by calling another handyman out to do them. What starts off as innocent flirtation from Dirk, soon turns into a hilarious, and deliberate, ploy to try and get Walter to indulge in some intimate time with him. But Walter seems completely oblivious to Dirk's attempts to seduce him. It is a funny, sexy and charming short film which also had some real good eye candy.
Billy passionately welcomes home his boyfriend, Kevin - but their relationship is not what it seems. Turns out that it was their first hookup and they were doing a role play of bring boyfriends away from each other for a while. Based on a true story, Boyfriends explores modern gay culture and the desperate things we do to find intimacy. Yes, the apps and hookup culture has drastically changed the gay dating landscape.
Follow a couple where one suspects the other of being a caffeine-driven monster of the underworld. A chance meeting of neighbors quickly develops into a relationship which feels almost too good to be true. It seems like the new flame knew a bit too much was perhaps a bit too good to be true. Maybe it's the coffee he is using and that makes him to try and kill him too but he can't. Griffica tows the line between ambiguity and the supernatural, focusing on anxiety and paranoia at the same time.
Short film from 2008, it is about how in a single kiss, two men explore sexual emotion, sexual tension and the intensity of man-on-man bonding and loving. Two men new to dating decide to take a weekend trip to San Francisco, where when they make love, all kinds of feelings and emotions arise. This short video is based on a poem written in 1995. Another film I saw on same theme is "Washington Park" by same author and same director, where we see two boyfriends engage in romantic play during Christmas time.
A mother and her gay son live together in a trailer park and they share their good times with their trailer park friends. A great deal of focus is given to male physicality, not just in how their bodies are rendered with strong physicality lifting weights, but also in the gentle vulnerability of an embrace between two men. It’s a surprise to see men from a trailer park depicted unambiguously as gay. Film feels repetitive & amateurish while trying to make a statement on self acceptance and unconditional love. Also it is an old short film from 2010 again based on a poem.
In a nocturnal world, three lives intertwine. An introspective journey that explores the consequences of loneliness and the desperate search for connection. Each with their own past, they are dragged into a downward spiral while trying to heal their broken hearts. A boy who was abused as a child, finds another man in a bar to hook up with th bathroom while a drug dealer with blue eyes constantly keeps staring at him. Weird, odd film.

He has tried again and again to rebuild himself, but the shadow of alcohol and toxic relationships always end up catching him. Today he will try once again, but when he gives into temptation, he’s given a stark reminder of the demons that he’s been trying to keep at bay. Very interesting!!
After falling ill, Óscar decides to stay home and rest, but his friend Carlos, who was getting ready to go out, decides to stay with him and keep him company when he learns of his illness. Óscar stubbornly tries to get him to leave, but Carlos, faced with his refusals, simply offers him his time and support. There are hidden feelings between both of them for each other, but I wish it was explored more.
