This vertical series includes the usual tropes of mafia, straight suddenly turning gay, some really hot men, some disgruntled women and some past that links that two main characters. Of course don't forget the cringy romance scene and at times bad acting, but then there is something about these shows that make me keep coming back to these.
On his wedding day Gabe finds out that his fiancé is cheating on him with his step brother. But to acquire company's shares, he needs to be married by 25 , and so he decides to make a bizarre decision to marry this guy Sebastian, who suddenly came hiding in his closet running away from goos. Seb agrees because he recognized Gabe from 4 years ago an dhow he save this life, but Gabe has no memory. Seb is the heir to Brooklyn Mafia gang, but before he could tell Gabe this, Gabe makes it very clear about his hatred for mafia folks, since they were the ones responsible for his mother's death. Seb now tries his various ways to make sure that Gabe doesn't find out the truth since he really loves Gabe, but Gabe makes it clear on multiple occasions that he is straight. What follows is series of events where Gabe falls in trouble and every time Seb comes to his rescue. Gabe's step brother tries to seduce Seb but that doesn't work so he gets a footage doctored to show as if Seb was responsible for Gabe's mother's death. Eventually the matter is cleared, but somewhere in between all this, Gabe starts to realize that he is also getting strong feelings for Seb and together they eventually have a happy ending.
For shows like this to work, it's the chemistry between the two men that stands out. Every lingering glance, every moment of unspoken tension, and the interior monologues perfectly capture the complexity of their emotions. It helps that they are both good kissers are good looking. Besides that, honestly the show is filled with the usual vertical mini series tropes as I have already mentioned. A frustrated ex-fiance, people crossing each other, homophobia and a straight lead finding himself suddenly turned gay because he cannot resist the charm. I mean I couldn't have resisted Seb's charms. The mini-series ends on a final note but I believe there is. Sequel tooth's, which I shall be watching soon. (4.5/10)
