Kissable Lips (Korean Series)

A gay vampire love story in my books is already a disaster. But thats based on all the weird  and extremely stupid American horror gay vampire films that are more about skin show and nothing else. So I was hoping slightly better form this 8 episode Korean drama. But this show also suffers from a convoluted story and an extremely shallow romance. Even though the episodes are only about 10-ish minutes, the show keeps getting worse and dumber by the minute.

Jun Ho is a vampire living between humans. His health is deteriorating since he killed a human. Now the only way for him to save himself from dying is to drink from a "pure blood" human who has fallen for him. A rare species, Jun Ho finds a pure blood guy Min Hyun in his class and he develops interest in him. When Min Hyun gets all attention from the hot Jun Ho, he of course falls for him and spends time with him unknown of his real motives. As time passes, the two fall in love more and more with each other and Jun Ho increasingly finds difficult to drink his blood even after Min Hyun finds out his secret. A guy from the past come back into picture to help Jun Ho , by killing Min Hyun but instead Jun Ho kills him. The ending is sad since Jun Ho decides to die rather than drink blood of his true love.

Yes, you read the story above right. This is exactly what happens on the screen. And yes it is as dumb ad illogical as it sounds. Despite having a good looking cast and decent production values, the dreadful story and direction of this atrocious series is hard to sit through. The characters are randomly introduced without background. Like the older lady president who wants to save Jun Ho, or the random guy who comes to save him ( I mean who is he and why and how could he help). There is no rhyme or reason. Calling the series extremely boring would be an understatement. Even the love story between the leads is contrived. They are awkward together. Why would Min Hyun suddenly trust a complete stranger. Also why does the blood have to be had through killing someone. Why can't he offer his blood through IV or something? This show is full of loopholes and absolutely ridiculous and amateurish plot line and an uninspiring romance. It is hard to sit through this extremely boring and sleep inducing, cringe worthy, eye rolling series. (2/10)

Disappointed with this one. I really liked the start: fantasy music, fated love, beginnings of what could habe been an interresting story. Then it got worse and worse and worse until the stupid ending... The vampire is handsome, that's something at least I guess

"The vampire is handsome, that's something at least I guess"
True!!

But I am starting to feel now that with any series, by the time you have seen a few episodes, some of the guys start getting attractive anyway..

Thanks god I got to see TonChon chemistry soon after, which was a savior

I've just started TonChon following your recommandation and the first scene had me laugh so much! ("I'm going to die because of abstinence" OMG I'm dying). I feel a big "thank you Golu" coming, because I had set aside this one (not so good reviews) and I'm loving it so far.
+ ossan's love HK that I wanted to save for latter but seeing your review I think I won't resist long...

I am glad you are liking TonChon. That was a real surprise for me in good way.
WRT Ossan's Love H, I would recommend hold off as much as you can. It is almost scene by scene replica of the original , so the more time it passes between the two versions, the more you will appreciate the humor.

Sei no Gekiyaku (Japanese) [Dangerous Drugs of Sex]

Every person has their own unique way of dealing with loss. This film is as much a psychological thriller as it is a soft porn BDSM portrayal of two young men that makes the film overall horrifying as well as humane. It is really hard to describe the genre of this film in one word. Its important not that the film has some really disturbing scenes so if you go into seeing this film, please proceed with caution. Although any sexual non-consensual activity is not ok, this film has its won strange way of showing that suicide is not the only solution to all life's problems. Makoto is a regular office goer, who just finds out that his girlfriend is probably cheating on him. ON top of it, his parents sudden death coming back from a trip that he forced them to take, he gets completely dejected and decides to commit suicide. Unknown to him, he is saved by mysterious man Yoda Ryoji, and he wakes up finding himself tied up in leather and belts in a very BDSM setting. This mysterious saver soo...

Drug Shore (Chinese)

Apparently tis film was adapted by a true story Well, true or not, movies/series about drugs are not easy to watch. I have always said that drugs is like the end of life for anyone. For those who sink into this sea of addiction, some manage to swim upstream to recovery, while others cannot make it to the shore. The film may not be the best, but it does have a noble intention to remind everyone of the evil affects of drugs and combining that with sex. Ah Zhe is in a happy relationship with his influencer boyfriend. On his partner's birthday, they end up going to a party, which interestingly is being hosted at a drug dealer's house and this is where for the first time he is exposed to the world of drugs. The duo somehow do it just enough and come back home but next day Ah She gets invited by the dealer Xiao Fei for a meal. The dealer has a soft corner for Ah Zhe, but before anyone realizes, Ah Zhe's life spirals out of control when slowly he starts doing more and more drugs, ...

The Shortest Distance is Round 3: Fallen Flowers

Continuing with the weird trilogy of "The Shortest Distance", I am so glad that finally I am done with part 3 and won't have to deal with this again in future. Thankfully, as of now the makers have not announced any further parts; which will save all of us on this earth from the embarrassment of watching this in near future. After the first 10 minutes are used in sort of recapping bits of first two parts, the story moves forward. Haruto is now starting to have feelings for Ruka, the mysterious pole dancer from second part. In a fit of rage, Ruka ends up killing the goat man and to save him and Haruto, Shibahara asks them to go underground. Meanwhile Shibahara continues the search for Seiya (the guy who had cut off Haruto's penis). It turns out Seiya is now also taking care of the original club owner from part 1. Both of them were released after they had informed Shibahara of Aoyama's secret location. Shibahara tortures Seiya's boyfriend leading to Seiya killin...
