Sometimes we all just wanna be in a make believe, positive hopeful reinforcement, where there are no bad people and we all hope we find love. This really short mini-series of under one hour, produced the the Blued app provides you the perfect escape. Its not great by any means but it brings you that smile and cheer that we can all use from time to time.
James is a popular social media influencer who comes to a resort during Christmas break. The trip was supposed to be with his bf but they broke up. Dale, the young boy who checks him in, is clearly a fan and in awe of him. Although James is hoping to be alone for sometime, as humans, we all need connections, so he logs in to Blued and starts chatting unknowingly with Dale. They plan to meet but when Dale finds out that its James, he gets cold feet and fear of rejection. Eventually, he tells him the truth but James feels disappointed and betrayed. Eventually he comes around and the two men spend Christmas Eve together drinking and just providing each other companionship and not a quick hook up as what Dale thought. They spend 2 real fun days and when its time to go back, Dale surprises James by offering to go with him to the city to be with him for New Years.
The two boys had good chemistry. Initially James came off as a bit standoff-is but Dale was clearly like a fan completely smitten by James. Eventually they show us great chemistry together. The series is short and sweet and I think in this case, that's the USP. The message that the makers are trying to show was done brilliantly. Sometimes less is more. Yeah, I would have liked to see them kiss but this was more about companionship, so them cuddling and sleeping more than made up for me. The situations were relatable. Dale's hesitation was real but what I didn't understand was James getting upset. He could be annoyed but his complete rejection of dale initially was uncalled for. It sort of feeds into Dale's fear of being rejected. I also enjoyed the episode when Dale goes into James' room and takes off his t-short since in his experience most people just want a quick sex with a hotel employee as their fantasy. It's only later when they start talking is they realize they are both need hitman connection and not a quick fuck and go. Besides that , its a simple, sweet, mushy, warm and fuzzy. (6/10)

Meanwhile I have heard news that Grindr may also come up with some digital content of their own
Btw, Gaya sa Pelikula is somehow connected to this series. Vlad ex boyfriend named A (Aldous) and James ex boyfriend have an affair. That’s why they broke up.
where did you find this?
And then you read it's from the same director/writer tandem as Gaya sa Pelikula... I want them to do more series please, I love what they do so much!
You should try "to my star", it's also short, yet different but leaves you with the same happy feeling that will make you smile all day.
