Sami, a Syrian refugee in Amsterdam, meets Johan during a casual hookup. As the night unfolds, unexpected intimacy and buried truths force Sami to confront his past—and question where home truly is. The subject matter is very contemporary, and political, which gives the film an edge. Even in today's time it is so interesting to see how gays live in a very different situation in different parts of the world, still trying to figure out where they truly belong. Beautiful film!
A Brazilian production that follows an amateur soccer team entirely consisting of homosexual players. Some gay soccer players got together for fun and founded a team which became so popular that it started a movement all across Brazil. The short doc offers a touching tribute to gay athletes, offering meaningful messages about activism, self-realization, gay pride and following your dreams, wherever they may lead you.
An almost dialogueless, poetic impression of an insecure teenager’s dilemma. Alexander spends his first holiday alone in an old beach cabin. Longing for affection, but searching for his identity, he stays inside. From the cabin, he watches the people on the beach. On a diving board, in the middle of the sand, he spots someone who is making some dance moves. Hesitant at first, but increasingly uninhibited, Alexander mimics him, which yields a cautious dance duet at a safe distance. Will he dare to make the next move? How I wished there was a kiss at the end!!
A generation reminisces about its own memory — what was it like to be a queer man in decades past? At São Paulo's iconic gay club ABC Bailão, soon to close its doors, five gay men revisit their memories of love, friendship, and resistance during Brazil's military dictatorship. They reflect about the urgency of a life that was kept hidden for so long. A heartfelt tribute to an era of freedom, music, and dancing. I think this was a beautiful and gentle reminder of times gone by and what did people before us endured.
Shot in black and white, the director pays tribute to classic silent films while giving them a modern spin with this clever 12-minute romance. On the beach, the gang meets Malo, a handsome local guy who is also trans. From the moment they first look at each other, desire takes over. However, faced with the lightness and casualness of Malo, from whom almost everything seems to separate him, nothing is easy for Oscar. This is the story of their meeting, which turns everything upside down making Oscar question his real sexuality. A very good subject and nicely executed.

The story of a Latina struggling to thrive at the intersection of her transgender and immigrant identities. The film follows a day in the life of Jennifer, who finds herself caught between her need to be herself and an ultimatum from her boyfriend Pedro. She needs the money for her meds and the only way she knows to do that is by selling her body. Beautiful film but there is a lot happening here and can easily be made into a full length feature.
It is a slow night at the bar and Shy twink Marcus is moping after being stood up. He then meets Ben, a charming transgender bartender dressed like a king with his robe and crown. Ben uses his charm to coax Marcus out of his shell, and the two have a special night together filled with love, lust, and romance. A short film about two people who, however briefly, become the kings of one another’s worlds.
This year the seventy-year-old grumbler Johan has been married to his wife for fifty years. But something is missing. He goes through life grumbling and complaining until a Greek Deli opens across the street and he meets sixteen-year-old Yorgos. It's this moment when Johan realizes that he probably has very little time left to finally come to terms with himself and let something of his identity blossom. His unreciprocated infatuation with Yorgos brings out repressed adolescent memories of his attraction to his friend Deniz. The story was nice and simple but there was absolutely no need to stretch this film into over 50 minutes. A very good attempt regardless.

However, things don't go as smoothly as expected. Heading back to his house, Marco’s inexperience takes center stage as he is shy and reticent about what is to be his first sexual encounter. Graham is tender rather than impatient. A tender portrait of two queer teenagers as they navigate intimacy together for the first time. Themes of growth, inexperience, and trust are explored here.
Introverted and sensitive Fábio wakes up to a huge zit on his forehead. In desperation, he tries a new dating app said to match people with those who can 'solve their problems.' What starts as a quick fix turns into the beginning of unexpected romance. Very weird short !

But in the conservative culture of Islamic society, will this marriage manage to protect their freedom to love? The film delves into identity, love, and authenticity amid societal constraints. It took me a while to understand what really was going on.
