Yes, one more of those macro vertical dramas stitched into movie versions, the English BL format. I think I should take a break from here because things are starting to mix up now. Having said that hat, these are good fun for guilty pleasure viewing, easily done on phone, so I shouldn't really be complaining. After you have seen a few of these, you really know what to expect.
Brian has had a crush on Terry an upcoming football star from his teen days. Now adult, Terry is a very famous football star and Brian is his manager, very good at his job. Terry knows that Brian has had a crush on "someone" for 7 years and that he is gay, but Terry never guesses that it could be him. HE is also extremely flirty with Brian on many occasions and doesn't like when someone doesn't treat Brian right. But Brian has had enough and one day he resigns, forcing Terry to think of his actions. Soon Terry's game starts to suffer. The agency rehires Brian again, but. This time to manage another football star, who is arch enemy of Terry and who wants Brian for himself. This doesn't go well with Terry, who would do anything to get Brian for himself. Usual drama of misunderstandings etc happen and finally Terry and Brian sleep together. But Terry cannot come out because of his image and this makes Brian rethink of his love, but eventually love wins and Terry announces to the world about his love with Brian.
This is one of those cute romances that don't make sense. I guess people so stupid things when they're in love. As with other dramas of this genre, you should not put brain. Just enjoy what's unfolding, look at the beautiful faces, decent acting, few kisses, the mandatory third wheel and just have fun. If I had to critique, I could say that it would have been nice to see how and when did Terry start to fall for Brian, since it couldn't have been sudden. Clearly he used to always flirt with him. But u know, love makes you do strange things, so this is a classic example of that too. The drama with Terry's rival was interesting to see because that makes Terry realize that he really loves and values Brian a lot more than he thinks he does. Overall, a decent addition to the vertical macro series/film format and you can definitely watch, if you secretly are into guilty pleasure watching while on phone just before going to bed. These shows have already won half the battle hiring some really gorgeous men/boys to play the leads. (5/10)
