This Hindi movie is a pretty straightforward slice-of-life story that tries to give a modern look at what it's like to be a single, professional gay man. It dives into how he understands who he is, the chances he missed out on, and the personal choices he’s made along the way. The director used three parallel timelines to tell the story, which honestly didn't make much sense to me. While the core idea was actually pretty interesting, I really feel like this would have worked way better as a short film considering the point it was trying to make. Still, it wasn't a bad watch. The plot centers on Rachit, a city professional, and his friend Shikhar as they hang out for an evening. Rachit is a polished, urban guy, while Shikhar has more of a "small-town" rustic vibe, and you can really see the contrast between them when they talk. As the night goes on, Rachit starts thinking back to some old memories from a long time ago. He remembers being an intern after college in ...
Yet another one of those instantly forgettable Pinoy series. I cant really pin point at where does the problem lie. Is it the story, the acting, the direction, the production value or somewhere it is just a combination of all. I guess latter. This show was supposed to have 7 episodes, but I could find only the first 6, each of about 15-20 minutes. Since I did not see the actual finale, I dont know about it, but I can confidently say that I can easily guess how this will end. The title likely comes from the fact that our leading character here wants to learn how to make love to a man.
Russel is a young virgin gay man. He wants to lose his virginity to the man of his dreams when he falls in love. He has long harbored a crush on Jake and he always imagines various sexual scenarios of him. We dont know how he knows him or how he finds his sexy pictures to paste them over his walls. Anyway, his friends tell him that rumors are he is a prostitute so Russel needs to be careful of his crush, but he doesn't believe. Eventually when he follows him a couple of nights, he replies that he indeed sells his body for money. Jake realizes that Russel has been following him and gives him his number in case he wants Jake's service. Meanwhile another friend of Russel is Ruben who likes him and wants to be with Russel but he has no clue. Russel finally gives in and has a one night stand with Jake, after which he gives him an offer that Jake should move in with him and he will pay him whatever money he makes per day, secretly hoping that he can make Jake fall in love with him. None of his friends appreciate this arrangement and Ruben is now mad because now he feels he wants Jake. He mixes his drink and trying to take advantage of Russel. This is where the episode 6 ends. My guess is that in finale, Jake comes in, saves Russel and maybe we will hear some poor family history of Jake on how/why he went into prostitution. He will realizes that Russel's love makes him want to be a better man.
This show has everything. Poor acting, Decent story but bad production, amateurish direction and all that. But to be fair, the makers are not claiming to create this one of a kind show in the world. They know their audience and they are making something easy and cheap for folks to consume content. We see the usual set of two trans females that I have forgotten now in how many shows I have seen them both. There are unnecessary long shower and naked scenes supposed to get you excited but they did nothing for me. Honestly, I don't even know why I wasted my time watching this show, because I should have known better by now. This time I am to be blamed and not the makers. Avoid. (2.5/10)
