This Hindi movie is a pretty straightforward slice-of-life story that tries to give a modern look at what it's like to be a single, professional gay man. It dives into how he understands who he is, the chances he missed out on, and the personal choices he’s made along the way. The director used three parallel timelines to tell the story, which honestly didn't make much sense to me. While the core idea was actually pretty interesting, I really feel like this would have worked way better as a short film considering the point it was trying to make. Still, it wasn't a bad watch. The plot centers on Rachit, a city professional, and his friend Shikhar as they hang out for an evening. Rachit is a polished, urban guy, while Shikhar has more of a "small-town" rustic vibe, and you can really see the contrast between them when they talk. As the night goes on, Rachit starts thinking back to some old memories from a long time ago. He remembers being an intern after college in ...
This series was made in 2024, so there is no excuse for making it so cringy, atrocious and bad. I am realizing that these low production Filipino have some standard templates. 2-3 hot guys withe Nic bodies, then 2-3 trans girls to provide comic relief and lust over other hot guys, take the setting on a nice resort or something, then put some 5-6 extra chatters who add absolutely nothing to the main story line and then somehow weave a story around all this. This worked when some of the Asian countries were just starting in the bL race like right around 2021 during covid, but to make such atrocity now is no excuse at all. Thankfully this lasts for only 6 episodes each of 15-20 minute duration.
Max and Sky are a gay couple. Suddenly Max decides to go abroad and work so that their life can be better. Sky is sad to see him go but understands and they both hope that they will be able to make this long distance relationship work. After a few days, seeing that how sad Sky is, his group of friends take him out for a holiday to a resort. In the resort Sky meets Troy. Initially they snub each other and after a couple of meetings, they start getting close. Sky makes it clear that he has a boyfriend, but despite that they fall for one another and kiss the day before Troy has to leave. Back home, Sky is unable to forget Troy and after a few days they meet again. Here Troy reveals a secret to Sky that leaves him shocked to the core. <Spoiler now> It turns out Troy is Max's cousin and Max put him upto this job to seduce Sky. Actually Max ended up hooking up with girl and getting her pregnant and this was his way to get out of Sky's life. Troy also confesses that he has truly fallen for Sky, but he is very heartbroken and doesn't believe a word. Eventually Max stops by to ask for forgiveness to Sky so they can both move on. Eventually a few years later, Troy and Sky meet again and maybe there is a chance for love here.
To be honest, the story had a bit of potential here, but the execution and direction of this series was so bad, that you laugh at most of things. Maybe only in the last episode, I took a bit of things seriously. But up until that point, I kept rolling my eyes on how predictable everything was using the set standard template and tropes that we have seen in these low production Pinoy series in the past. Actors were strictly ok and nothing much can be aid about their talent either. The resort surroundings were good, but how many times can you se the same aerial shots. They were present 3-4 times in every single episode. And for god sake, please change that annoying background music. The same thing constantly in every single scene and episode just jars your ears. The episodes had random fillers if characters, like Troy's friend who was there just to complaint that resort is boring. I mean why the hell was he even in the series. And other such people. I mean this series was already not that long to begin with, but even with that if it feels that it has been stretched for no reason, you can imagine how bad it must have been. Avoid. (2.5/10)
