Slashr (USA)
In the depths of a remote mountain cabin, the quiet tranquility quickly turns into a nightmarish battleground for Ashkan, a young man on the rebound from an unexpected breakup. But what was supposed to be a relaxing retreat becomes a terrifying struggle for survival as he finds himself pursued by a relentless killer. Interetsing film with an extremely hot main lead.

I Hope He Doesn't Kill Me (UK)
The film follows Buzz, a young gay man, as he waits outside the apartment building of his anonymous Grindr hookup, imagining all the depraved directions this encounter could go. The short spans a slew of rapid-fire vignettes, each depicting a version of how this night could play out. Fast-paced, morbid, and taboo, these comically horrendous hypotheticals explore the terrors running through Buzz's brain, ranging from the feasible to the outrageous.

This Is For You (USA)
A romantic weekend of a gay couple, with the noble intentions of one of partners before they part ways. The palpable sense of indecision, emotional vulnerability, and fear permeates the atmosphere, painting a raw and authentic portrait of human connection and its complexities. We are never known the reasons of split though hints are thrown about one of them flying away or about polygamy. Tender, erotic, and heartbreaking and visually nice.

Scraps (USA)
In rural Montana, two closeted teen boys navigate unexpected love and harsh small-town judgment. Bridger is impressed by Gus’s homemade board and promises to teach him how to use it, while Gus promises to teach Bridger how to make his own skateboard. Soon, a new friendship flourishes, but Gus can’t help but wish it was something more. But how is he supposed to know how Bridger feels when he can’t be open about how he feels? A delicate and beautifully shot exploration of first love !

Un/Cut (Ireland)
Cut or Uncut, that is the question. A sexual hook-up between and Irish and an American man quickly turns into a conversation about circumcision, which leads to a history lesson involving Mr. Kelloggs. It becomes a cleverly constructed study of assumptions that endure because people always accept what they’ve been told. A very well thought out piece that broadly ticks all the right boxes. I thought the film was really funny, done extremely well and brought across the point with strong arguments in its favor. Loved it !!

White Ego (Myanmar)
Based on the true story of  Yan Paing and Nay Thway. Yan's mother never approved of her son's relationship with another man. So when he gets sick, she forcibly brings him back home till his untimely death and doesn't allow Nay to meet him. Now, that she is on her death bed herself, she realizes her mistake and asks her granddaughter to invite Nay so she can apologize and make her peace. A beautiful short film done extremely well and touches your heart.

Spaceless (Thailand)
Kan and Tul are aspiring actors who meet at an audition. From there on, another story unfolds, and both find themselves battling their own feelings. One loves the other way too much while the other falls into society pressure and eventually gets married and ha a kid, but always regrets that he could never reciprocate his friends love with same passion. Interesting but could have been better !

Mab Hudel (UK) [The Magical Son]
Enys Penrose, is a fantastic rugby player, farmer and young gay man who lives with his mum and gran on their farm under the shadow of his dead father. He leads his local rugby team, Penryn RFC, to the final of The Cornwall Cup where he not only faces the love of his life but his sexuality and the rugby legacy that his father left behind. What a surprising and a fantastic ending !!

Make Up, Make Me Grow Up! (Thailand)
Ever wonder what happens when a delicate flower meets a sturdy oak? A confident straight teen and a shy makeup artist navigate high school, first love, and self-discovery. The heartwarming tale of Up, a sensitive high school boy, and Mek, a manly protector. Will their worlds collide and create a beautiful masterpiece? Average and easily avoidable.

Oktober Dreng (Denmark) [October Boy]

Mads likes Thomas' drawings, whereas Emma is romantically interested in Thomas and invites him home with her. Just before leaving, Thomas meets Emmas older brother, a young, emerging artist. The meeting changes something within him. Thomas starts to question his sexuality thanks to Emma's hot brother and his closeness with Mads but rumors start circulating about Emma and Thomas.

The Unsure Masseur (USA)
A young gay man considering a career as a masseur visits one and ends up learning more about the job than he ever imagined, especially if a client tries to make a move. An interesting conversation about what it means for each of them, the aspects of work, how to differentiate between actual massage v/s hookup and about need of money, some romance and a decent end. A very good film actually.

Second Thought (USA)
The film explores the nuances of modern gay dating and highlights the diverse experiences within our community. Two boys meet, hook up and then one blocks another. In another universe, a similar event happens 30 years ago, and today these 2 guys would have been happily together celebrating love for 30 years. The narrative cleverly mirrors the unpredictability of online dating, presenting an alternative happy ending with a raw portrayal of gay love and the complexities of the hookup culture.

Extremely heartbroken and disappointed, Motor reaches back to Gentle and apologizes for his behavior admitting that friendships is the more important thing to him than a girl or a bike. Will love follow?

My Biker 2 (Thailand)
During the semester break, Gentle and Motor start a relationship, but when school starts again, Motor does not allow himself to be as close to Gentle as they were during the break. Gentle notices the distance and becomes hurt, causing damage to their newfound relationship. Motor is concerned of what people would think of them hugging so close on a bike but eventually he also eventually realizes that his love for Motor is true and he doesn't care about society.

Los Novios de mi Madre (Mexico) [My Mother's Lovers]
Luisa has a habit of bringing her dates home, irritating her son, Cesar. When Cesar invites his best friend Pablo over for a sleepover, Luisa's flirtations become too much to bear, especially as Cesar has his own feelings towards Pablo. A very interesting film with a very morally ambiguous mother who would flirt with her son's only friend! Thats mean.

The Shortest Distance is Round 3: Fallen Flowers

Continuing with the weird trilogy of "The Shortest Distance", I am so glad that finally I am done with part 3 and won't have to deal with this again in future. Thankfully, as of now the makers have not announced any further parts; which will save all of us on this earth from the embarrassment of watching this in near future. After the first 10 minutes are used in sort of recapping bits of first two parts, the story moves forward. Haruto is now starting to have feelings for Ruka, the mysterious pole dancer from second part. In a fit of rage, Ruka ends up killing the goat man and to save him and Haruto, Shibahara asks them to go underground. Meanwhile Shibahara continues the search for Seiya (the guy who had cut off Haruto's penis). It turns out Seiya is now also taking care of the original club owner from part 1. Both of them were released after they had informed Shibahara of Aoyama's secret location. Shibahara tortures Seiya's boyfriend leading to Seiya killin...

Sei no Gekiyaku (Japanese) [Dangerous Drugs of Sex]

Every person has their own unique way of dealing with loss. This film is as much a psychological thriller as it is a soft porn BDSM portrayal of two young men that makes the film overall horrifying as well as humane. It is really hard to describe the genre of this film in one word. Its important not that the film has some really disturbing scenes so if you go into seeing this film, please proceed with caution. Although any sexual non-consensual activity is not ok, this film has its won strange way of showing that suicide is not the only solution to all life's problems. Makoto is a regular office goer, who just finds out that his girlfriend is probably cheating on him. ON top of it, his parents sudden death coming back from a trip that he forced them to take, he gets completely dejected and decides to commit suicide. Unknown to him, he is saved by mysterious man Yoda Ryoji, and he wakes up finding himself tied up in leather and belts in a very BDSM setting. This mysterious saver soo...

One Summer Night (Korean)

I really wanted to like this film but for non native speakers, these movie leaves a lot to be understood and the way scenes were unfolding in front of me, I wasn't sure many times what was really going on. The story had potential button getting any back story on any of the characters limited my ability to empathize with any of these actors. Film starts with two North Korea military guys Yong Joon and Jae Sung having sex and they are caught red handed and they run. Three years later we see Yong Joon in Seoul leading a very mundane and poor life. He has a boyfriend Tae-Kyu, who is a weird guy. He is carefree, doesn't do any work and is completely emotional and financially dependent on Young Joon. In fact, even Yong Joon will go to any lengths to protect him , fend for him and taking care of him to the extent of even taking up prostitution. Suddenly one day Jae Sung appears in their life again. His motivation is not clear but it is obvious he wants Yong Joon back in his life, who ...
