This Hindi movie is a pretty straightforward slice-of-life story that tries to give a modern look at what it's like to be a single, professional gay man. It dives into how he understands who he is, the chances he missed out on, and the personal choices he’s made along the way. The director used three parallel timelines to tell the story, which honestly didn't make much sense to me. While the core idea was actually pretty interesting, I really feel like this would have worked way better as a short film considering the point it was trying to make. Still, it wasn't a bad watch. The plot centers on Rachit, a city professional, and his friend Shikhar as they hang out for an evening. Rachit is a polished, urban guy, while Shikhar has more of a "small-town" rustic vibe, and you can really see the contrast between them when they talk. As you can expect, the plot is paper thin. Yuki is a young man who lives with his brother. One day while walking he meets an old friend of his and they reconnect. When he goes back home that night, he finds out that his brother has a girlfriend, so he leaves home (don't ask why). He goes back to his friends house and they make passionate love. Interestingly this friend works in a. Gay S&M club that puts up shows for audience so Yuji also gets a job here. But after a while he has had enough and both Fuji and his friend want to quit job, but the owners won't let them and in fact they kidnap the boys and torture them much more than the shows. This is when the elder brother comes and saves them both for them to live happily ever after.
Even though it may feel there is a story here, which there is but that maybe lasts about 10-15 minutes. In this hour long film, focus is more on the actual S&M scenes where everything happens. Dick rubbing, nipple playing, rods being inserted into anus and everything else that could have been shown without actually showing the penis. If you removed all sex scenes, you could say that the film tries to explore the subject of two men seeking independence by exploring their sexuality but yet are made vulnerable by the chains of capitalism. But unfortunately, the point of this film is titilation and is clearly focused on men who are very much into gay S&M, which takes up almost 90% of the films running time. (2.5/10)
