This Hindi movie is a pretty straightforward slice-of-life story that tries to give a modern look at what it's like to be a single, professional gay man. It dives into how he understands who he is, the chances he missed out on, and the personal choices he’s made along the way. The director used three parallel timelines to tell the story, which honestly didn't make much sense to me. While the core idea was actually pretty interesting, I really feel like this would have worked way better as a short film considering the point it was trying to make. Still, it wasn't a bad watch. The plot centers on Rachit, a city professional, and his friend Shikhar as they hang out for an evening. Rachit is a polished, urban guy, while Shikhar has more of a "small-town" rustic vibe, and you can really see the contrast between them when they talk. As the night goes on, Rachit starts thinking back to some old memories from a long time ago. He remembers being an intern after college in ...
Having somehow endured the first season of the show, I was dreading g the time, when I will somehow be forced (by myself) into watching this second season. Thankfully the expectations after first season were so low that this season two fits perfectly the bill. The story sort of continues but even if you haven't seen the first season, you will not miss any context.
Maykel not has his own work business, which is not important in the context of larger story. Him and Johannes seem to have broken up, but it feels like they both still love each other but are afraid to do anything about it. Thanks to Johannes' friend; he thinks maybe if he makes Maykel jealous by pretending to be with someone else, Maykel will admit his love. Somewhere during this tine, on a drunken night, Maykel ends up sleeping with J's friend. When he and Johannes are back together as a couple, he don't tell him the truth. Enter a new girl, who happens to be Johannes' old friend form younger days, who is lonely and moves in with the couple as their roommate. She is surprised to hearth Johannes is gay. When accidentally the secret of Maykel cheating on Johannes comes out, they ar both mad but thankfully on advice of their friends, they both talk and make amends. The show ends where Maykel kneels down to propose to Johannes.
Oh my god! The acting of almost no one has improved. Our main lead actor/director is still worse than some college projects. All the other actors are equally bad and some characters are introduced just for the sake of it. The girl who is Maykel's co worker has many scene sin first few episodes and then completely disappears only to be randomly replaced by another new character of Johannes' ex-girlfriend. Also I did get to see an uncensored version where we see full on sex between the two leads (almost porn).. I have no way to know the authenticity of the same but even that wasn't very scintillating to watch. This show gets added to the list of many shows/movies and other stuff that I see, question myself on why I waste my time and then just hope to forget the nightmare soon. (1/10)
