This Hindi movie is a pretty straightforward slice-of-life story that tries to give a modern look at what it's like to be a single, professional gay man. It dives into how he understands who he is, the chances he missed out on, and the personal choices he’s made along the way. The director used three parallel timelines to tell the story, which honestly didn't make much sense to me. While the core idea was actually pretty interesting, I really feel like this would have worked way better as a short film considering the point it was trying to make. Still, it wasn't a bad watch. The plot centers on Rachit, a city professional, and his friend Shikhar as they hang out for an evening. Rachit is a polished, urban guy, while Shikhar has more of a "small-town" rustic vibe, and you can really see the contrast between them when they talk. As the night goes on, Rachit starts thinking back to some old memories from a long time ago. He remembers being an intern after college in ...
This vertical mini series, stitched as a film was visually nice to watch, but I have to say that the stories are getting hard to believe now. It's like, anything is going on and as an audience you are supposed to believe it. This was one of the first ones where I was rolling my eyes more often. This latest mini series from DramaWave app going into the familiar genre of BL mafia.
At a high-society party, Selena and Emma were targeted for revenge by an ex-boyfriend and found themselves in danger. Their respective bodyguards, Noah and Carson, worked together to save them, but Noah got injured in the process. Selena then demanded that Emma send Carson to serve at her house for three months as compensation. What neither of them knows is that Noah was saved by Carson many years back and since then Noah has harbored a secret crush on Carson and loves him. Carson works for Emma's brother Arthur Hill, who agrees to the 3 month arrangement because he wants to know the real identity of a wealthy family of Selena and this could be it. Noah, who is the actual heir, continues to pretend to be body guard so he can flirt with Carson. Even though Carson shows no interest, he pretends to like Noah so that he can get inside info for his boss. Carson was gradually charmed by Noah's flirtations and decided to break free from the control of Emma's brother, a powerful gangster. However, Carson soon discovered that Noah was actually Selena's brother and the mysterious heir to a wealthy family, and that everything had been a carefully orchestrated love trap set by Noah. He also starts to fall for Noah but Arthur has Carson's mother kidnapped and holds a secret and forces Carson to kill Noah when the secret comes out. All things eventually fall in place, mother is saved and the two men get married.
Almost every situation in this series is non believable. The whole idea that a millionaire heir could conceal his identity from the world, when his entire staff knows the truth is almost impossible. Also Noah literally uses his power to coerce Carson into sex. Noah, the supposed rich guy, how could he not know about Arthur's evil intentions or that Carson had been fooling around. Also there is np clear indication or reasoning as to why and how does Carson fall for Noah, when he was always the 'Straight' guy. I mean I have seen a few of these English vertical BL shows and I understand that we are not supposed to put logic, but this one takes it to another level. It's cheesy, tacky, corny and the kissing scenes also seem so forced. In fact there is no real kiss. I would definitely skip this one. (3/10)
